THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO GET INVOLVED!

There are many ways to get involved in Beardfest. Below you will find brief summaries of each, links to more information, instructions on how to sign up, what you get in exchange for your participation, and more. If you want to be involved with Beardfest beyond simply buying a ticket, skimming this page is a great place to start.

VOLUNTEER!

Volunteers work in various roles and departments before, during, and after the festival. Signing up to volunteer allows festival goers to see the festival from an operational perspective and earn a nearly free ticket while helping the festival be as successful and enjoyable as possible for all staff, performers, and guests.

Regular Volunteers receive a free weekend pass (minus the volunteer add-on), free GA parking, access to Volunteer Headquarters with snacks and water, and a Beardfest poster. Super Volunteers receive the same, plus free car camping (even if it's sold out!) and access to the VIP hospitality room with meals and drinks.

For more information on becoming a volunteer, visit the Volunteer page. Volunteer sign-ups close May 31st. To become a volunteer, click the link below to purchase a standard full weekend Beardfest ticket, and the volunteer add-on. Full details will be provided in the check out process. .

JOIN THE STREET TEAM!

The Street Team gets out to popular locations and events to promote the festival. Street Teamers spread the word through hanging up posters and handing out flyers.

Street Teamers receive a free weekend pass (minus the Street Team add-on),  GA parking/camping, and a free Beardfest poster.

For more information on joining the Street Team, visit the Street Team page. Street Team sign-ups close May 1st. To sign up for the street team, purchase a standard full weekend Beardfest ticket, and the street team add-on. Street Team spots are limited and available on a first-come first-serve basis. After signing up, you can expect to hear from the street team coordinator within a few days.

LEAD A WORKSHOP!

The Workshops Department houses Beardfest's educational events, hosted by passionate facilitators, artists, seekers, and experts in their areas of interest. Some of the goals of this department are to expand participants' world-views, connect like-minded community members, provide safe spaces for exploration, introduce new skills, and get people to move their bodies with big smiles on their faces! Historically, workshops run the gamut of mind, body, and spirit and are encouraged to have a participatory aspect. They are for adults, children, and families.

If selected, you receive a free weekend pass, GA camping, and 1 free meal (Not included: car camping, backstage access, or any additional +1s for co-facilitators).

The workshop application closes March 3rd. To apply, click the link below and fill out the workshop application. If your application is accepted, you will hear from a department member by Friday, March 17th. Due to a high volume of applicants, a response is not guaranteed.

HOST A THEME CAMP!

Theme camps are a pre-planned group of people camping together with a collective mission to provide a FREE unique experience or environment to the community of Beardfest.  Theme camps might offer their own pre-planned events as an additional/alternative activity for Beardfest participants to attend or simply provide a common area for folks to gather and enjoy the space.  Theme Camps (and individuals) are encouraged to curate whatever vibe most excites them--sky is the limit (with the exception of serving alcohol or prepared meals (prepackaged snacks are ok), which we cannot allow due to conflicts with our vendors and insurance).

For more information on theme camps, visit the Theme Camps page. To apply to host a theme camp, click the link below. Theme Camp applications close May 24th.

RUN A COMMUNITY EVENT!

What do you want to make happen at Beardfest this year? Back in its second year for Beardfest 2023, participants of the festival are encouraged to dream up, prepare, and execute their own events, outside the realm of Beardfest sponsored workshops. Accepted community run events will be listed on the Beardfest website and included in a pamphlet given out at gate.

For more information on community events, visit the Community Events page. To apply to run a community event, click the link below. Event applications close on May 24th.
